Katelyn has more than 6 years' experience working in tax and finance. While she specializes in tax content, Katelyn has also written for digital publications on topics including insurance, retirement, and financial planning and has had financial advice commissioned by national print publications. She believes that knowledge is the key to success and enjoys helping others reach their goals by providing content that educates and informs.
Before joining Kiplinger, Katelyn utilized her tax knowledge to assist users of Intuit TurboTax. She also was a regular contributor to the online personal finance community, FinanceBuzz, covering tax, retirement, personal finance, and career topics. Katelyn has also worked with hundreds of business owners as a journalist covering press releases for WorthPoint Corporation.
Katelyn holds a B.S. in Business from Capella University. She minored in Legal Studies with the intent of attending law school but discovered her true passions were finance and writing.
