Best Black Friday Deals on Amazon

Score big discounts on electronics, toys and more without leaving the comfort of your couch.

Bargain-hunters who cringe at the thought of setting foot in a retail store on Black Friday, the much-hyped shopping day that falls immediately after Thanksgiving, aren't alone. The National Retail Federation expects online sales to climb to $105 billion this holiday season, up between 6% and 8% from 2014.

While many retailers reserve their best Black Friday deals for in-store shoppers, Amazon.com, of course, offers all of its Black Friday bargains online -- and its prices often meet or beat brick-and-mortar rivals. That means you can take advantage of deep seasonal discounts without leaving home.

Even more appealing this year, Amazon doesn't necessarily make you wait until Friday, November 27, to access most of its Black Friday deals. The e-commerce giant has already launched its Black Friday Deals Week promotion, meaning many Black Friday deals are available days before Black Friday. Sale prices should be good at least through Black Friday, if not longer, while supplies last. Here are a few picks from shopping experts on some of the best items you can buy on Amazon during its Black Friday sales.

AmazonBasics Portable Bluetooth Speaker, $40: Small electronic gadgets at affordable prices can make for great stocking stuffers, suggests Katrina Chan, shopping manager for NerdWallet.com. This includes items such as DVDs, video games, earbud headphones and CDs. At barely seven inches in length, this speaker (regularly priced at $60) could be ideal for a teen who likes to stream music from a smart phone or a loved one who teleworks and makes frequent conference calls. The speaker, which comes in several colors, plays music up to 30 feet from any Bluetooth-enabled device, has an internal microphone for hands-free calls and boasts a battery life of up to 15 hours.

Amazon Fire Tablet 7-Inch Display with Wi-Fi (8GB), $35: Trae Bodge, senior lifestyle editor at RetailMeNot.com picked the latest version of Amazon's popular Fire tablet as one of her favorite Thanksgiving Day doorbuster deals. The tablet will be on sale Thursday at a $15 discount (regular price: $50). Customers who purchase the tablet will get access to Amazon Underground, an app store with games (including free game add-ons, such as extra lives and unlocked levels), 38 million movies, TV shows, songs and books.

Assorted toys (get 40% or more off on select items): If you have children on your holiday shopping list, you can find deals on items such as board games, building blocks and dolls from top toy brands. For example, Disney's "Frozen" Elsa Plush doll, which is regularly priced at $20, is on sale for $10. Hasbro's classic Monopoly board game is $7.88 (originally $18) through November 30, while K'Nex's Build-a-Bunch Set is $12.50, marked down from $25 through December 1.

Beats by Dre Studio 2.0 Wired Over Ear Headphones, $181: Amazon often price-matches or beats competitors' prices by dropping theirs significantly, which has helped it dominate the e-commerce space, says Kristin Cook, managing editor of BensBargains.com. This makes Amazon a good place to find deals on trendy electronics brands, such as Beats by Dre, GoPro and Smarthome, she adds. These Beats headphones are 40% off on Amazon, marked down from $300. The same headphones will be selling for $100 more as part of Target's Black Friday sale.

Toshiba Satellite C55-C5241 15.6-Inch Laptop Intel Core i5 8GB, $430: According to DealNews.com's annual assessment of e-commerce sites, Amazon leads the pack when it comes to finding top-notch Black Friday deals online, says DealNews features editor Benjamin K. Glaser. This Toshiba laptop (regularly priced at $600) we spotted on Amazon costs nearly $100 more on Newegg.com, which ranked second on DealNews's assessment last year. It's also not currently part of this year's Black Friday sale on Newegg. The laptop comes with Windows 10, and the sale price is good through January 1, 2016.
