Best Black Friday Deals at Target

The big-box retailer is putting popular items on sale starting Wednesday, a day ahead of the competition.

Target is trying to stay one step ahead of the competition this holiday shopping season. While many retailers including Walmart and Best Buy are beginning their Black Friday sales on Thursday, Target is making available many of its Black Friday items including limited-supply doorbusters starting on Wednesday. Marked-down merchandise can be purchased both online and in stores the day before Thanksgiving.

We talked with several shopping experts to get their takes on the best Black Friday deals to score at Target. Here are four offers you might not be able to pass up. See Target’s Black Friday ad for more details.

Assorted video games for PlayStation4 and Xbox One gaming systems, $20-$25: If you've got a gamer on your holiday shopping list, you can find some of the best deals on video games at Target, says Kristin Cook, managing editor of BensBargains.com. For example, PS4's Dragon Age: Inquisition is marked down to $20 (regular price: $60), and Xbox's The Elders Scroll Online: Tamiel Unlimited (regular price: $40) can be had for $25.

Black Friday 2015

Apple iPhone 6S 16 GB, $150: DealNews.com's round-up of the best Black Friday deals highlights Target's sale on this Apple smart phone. Regularly priced at $200, you must register for a qualifying two-year service plan with AT&T, Verizon or Sprint. Customers deemed "well-qualified guests" (based on credit approval) can take home an iPhone 6S with no money down and receive a $250 Target gift card. There are other requirements including activation of installment billing. This sale is only available at certain locations starting at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, so call ahead or check Target.com.

Samsung 120W 2.1 Channel 37-Inch Bluetooth Soundbar with Subwoofer, $88: Regularly priced at $180, you’ll get to keep $92 in your wallet by venturing to Target to score this home sound system, says Katrina Chan, shopping manager for NerdWallet.com. It has Bluetooth capability, which means you can wirelessly connect it to your smart phone to stream music or other audio. We picked this soundbar as one of the best Thanksgiving doorbuster deals.

Westinghouse 55-Inch LED TV With 1080P Resolution, $250: This high-definition television set (regular price: $600) from Westinghouse is one of Target's standout electronics deals, Cook says. It will be available in stores, but quantities are limited and there will be no rain checks.
