Sales tax is due at the rate of the county where the purchaser lives.

Beer: $0.02 per gallon (lowest in the country)
Wine: $0.28 per gallon
Liquor: $0.95 per gallon
Wyoming controls wine and liquor distribution and adds a 17.6% markup before the retail sale.

Cigarettes: $0.60 per pack
Moist snuff: $0.60 per ounce
Other tobacco products: 20% of the wholesale price

Travel Taxes

Hotel: There is no statewide lodging tax, but municipalities levy taxes up to 4%. Sales tax is also due.

Rental cars: 4%
