Mint Mobile Unlimited Is $15 a Month Right Now

If you've been thinking about switching to a lower-cost wireless provider, Mint Mobile's latest promotion may be one of the strongest deals currently available.

For a limited time, new customers can sign up for any Mint Mobile plan for the equivalent of $15 per month, including its Unlimited plan that normally costs more. Since Mint operates on T-Mobile's nationwide 5G network, the promotion gives budget-conscious shoppers access to one of the country's largest wireless networks without paying premium carrier prices.

The offer isn't quite as straightforward as paying $15 each month, however. Mint requires customers to prepay for several months of service upfront, and the discounted pricing only applies to new customers for their initial plan term. Here's what you should know before making the switch.

What is Mint Mobile's $15 promotion?

Mint Mobile's current promotion allows new customers to purchase any of its prepaid plans, including 6GB, 17GB, 23GB and Unlimited, for the equivalent of $15 per month. The offer applies whether you choose a 3-, 6- or 12-month plan.

Who qualifies?

The promotion is available only to new Mint Mobile customers purchasing a new plan online. Existing subscribers aren't eligible for the discounted pricing.

How much will you pay upfront?

Because Mint Mobile is a prepaid carrier, you'll pay for your service before your plan begins rather than receiving a monthly bill.

Promotion deadline

Mint launched the promotion on July 1, 2026. At the time of writing, the company continues to advertise the offer as a limited-time promotion for new customers, though it has not announced a firm expiration date.

How Mint Mobile compares with other prepaid carriers

While Mint's promotion undercuts many competitors on price, every prepaid carrier structures its plans a little differently.

Although Mint currently offers the lowest advertised starting price, shoppers who prefer the flexibility of paying month-to-month may find competitors like Visible or Consumer Cellular easier to manage.

The catch: You'll have to pay in advance

The biggest difference between Mint Mobile and most wireless providers isn't just the price, but also how you pay.

Rather than sending you a monthly bill, Mint sells service in 3-, 6- and 12-month blocks. That means you'll need to pay the full cost of your selected term before activating service.

For example, choosing the 12-month promotional Unlimited plan requires paying $180 upfront, even though the effective monthly cost works out to just $15.

Once your promotional term ends, your plan renews at Mint's regular pricing unless you select another available offer. Customers can switch plans at renewal, but changing your plan during the promotional period generally means losing the discounted rate.

For many consumers, paying several months in advance isn't a drawback if it helps lower the overall cost of wireless service. But if you prefer predictable monthly payments or don't want to tie up cash upfront, another prepaid carrier may be a better fit.

Should you bundle the phone deal?

Mint is also pairing the promotion with an attractive smartphone offer. New customers can receive $500 off the Samsung Galaxy S26 when purchasing a 12-month Unlimited plan, with additional trade-in savings available on eligible devices.

Whether that's worthwhile depends on your situation. If you're already planning to upgrade to a new flagship Samsung phone, combining the handset discount with a discounted wireless plan could provide meaningful savings.

However, if you already own a recent unlocked phone, bringing your own device is often the more economical choice. You'll avoid financing costs, reduce your overall spending and still receive the promotional service pricing.

Likewise, shoppers considering financing should compare Mint's phone pricing with manufacturer promotions and carrier trade-in offers. Sometimes purchasing an unlocked phone separately gives you more flexibility to switch carriers later.

Is Mint Mobile worth it?

Mint Mobile won't be the best fit for everyone, but the current promotion makes it especially compelling for certain users, such as:

Budget-conscious shoppers: If your goal is simply lowering your monthly phone bill, few national carriers currently match $15 per month for unlimited service.
