Below is a weekly earnings calendar of the most important upcoming quarterly reports scheduled to be released by publicly traded companies. However, we have also provided expanded previews and recaps for select companies that are reporting earnings throughout the week.

Earnings spotlight: BP

BP (BP) will be the second oil and gas "supermajor" to report earnings since the start of the war between the U.S., Israel and Iran when management announces before the opening bell on Tuesday.

Supermajors will have a lot to say about the situation in the Middle East. Here's what you can do to keep control of your investments as volatile crude oil prices shake the market.

Supermajors' operations span exploration and production, as well as refining and marketing. Wall Street expects BP, which is based in the UK, to report EPS of 88 cents (+66.0% year over year) on revenue of $45.96 billion (-2.0% YoY).

On Friday, Italy-based Eni (E) reported earnings of 81 cents per share (-12.0% year over year) on revenue of $23.48 billion (+4.0% YoY) vs a consensus forecast for EPS of $1.13 on revenue of $24.88 billion.

Of the seven supermajors, E generated the best year-to-date total return through April 22, 44.6% vs 4.7% for the S&P 500.

Management said in remarks prepared for Eni's earnings call "that while energy markets have been highly volatile since March, Q1 averages … were well within an historically normal range for our volatile industry." Indeed, as Eni says, in euro terms "it was a bit softer than last year."

France-based TotalEnergies (TTE, +38.4% year to date) is scheduled to report before the opening bell on Wednesday, and Houston-based ConocoPhillips (COP, 32.0%) will follow on Thursday morning.

Its Texas neighbors Chevron (CVX, +23.5%) and ExxonMobil (XOM, +25.1%) will report before the opening bell on Friday. Shell (SHEL, +22.9%) is set to report from the Netherlands on May 7.

Wednesday (4/29)

Earnings spotlight: Alphabet

Alphabet (GOOG) is one of four Magnificent 7 stocks scheduled to report after the closing bell on Wednesday. The consensus forecast is for EPS of $2.63 (-6.4% YoY) on revenue of $106.91 billion (18.5% YoY).

GOOG generated a total return of 7.7% year to date through April 22. The Roundhill Magnificent Seven ETF (MAGS) is up 0.7% amid a mixed performance for the market's leadership group.

Wall Street expects Amazon.com (AMZN, +10.6% year to date) to report EPS of $1.65 (+3.8% YoY) on revenue of $177.18 billion (+13.8% YoY), Meta Platforms (META, +2.3%) $6.64 (+3.3% YoY) on $55.56 billion (+31.3% YoY) and Microsoft (MSFT, -10.3%) $4.07 (+17.6% YoY) on $81.40 billion (+16.2% YoY).

Apple (AAPL, +0.6%), which announced last week that Tim Cook will step down as CEO on September 1 in favor of Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering John Ternus, will report after the closing bell on Thursday. Cook will remain with Apple as executive chairman. Wall Street sees EPS of $1.65 (+18.2% YoY) on revenue of $109.69 billion (+15.0% YoY).

Nvidia (NVDA, +8.6%) is scheduled to report fiscal 2027 first-quarter results on Wednesday, May 20.

Last week, Tesla (TSLA, -13.8%) reported first-quarter EPS of 41 cents (+51.9% YoY) on revenue of $22.39 billion (+15.8% YoY) vs a forecast of 36 cents on $22.64 billion. Vehicle deliveries were up 6.5% to 358,023 but missed a Wall Street estimate of 364,645.
