Teresa Ghilarducci is an economics professor at the New School for Social Research in New York and the director of its Schwartz Center for Economic Policy Analysis. She has written extensively on money and retirement, including her newest book, Rescuing Retirement (Columbia University Press, $25) with Tony James, president of the Blackstone Group. In this lightly edited conversation with Associate Editor Mary Kane of Kiplinger's Retirement Report, Ghilarducci discusses staying on the job as you age and facing uncertainty in your 401(k).
