Want the Google Pixel 11 Pro? Verizon’s $45 Deal Doesn’t Require a Trade-in
Google's new Pixel 11 phones arrive August 20, and Verizon is offering the Pixel 11 Pro with service for $45 a month without requiring you to trade in your current phone.
Google Pixel fans have something new to look forward to. Google has finally unveiled its Pixel 11 lineup, including the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, with preorders open now ahead of the August 20 release.
Whether the latest Pixels offer enough upgrades to justify buying a new phone is another question. But if you're already considering a phone from the new Pixel 11 lineup, Verizon is making the decision a little more interesting with a preorder offer that doesn't require a trade-in.
Before you jump on the deal, though, it's worth looking beyond the advertised monthly price. Here's what the Verizon offer includes, what you'll pay and what to consider before preordering Google's latest phone.

Verizon's Pixel 11 Pro preorder deal
Verizon is offering the new Google Pixel 11 Pro for about $45 per month when you pair the phone with its Simplicity Plan. You don't need to trade in an old device to get the promotional price, which makes this offer a little different from many new-phone deals that reserve their biggest discounts for customers with an eligible trade-in.
The 256GB Pixel 11 Pro normally costs $1,099.99, but Verizon applies $380 in promotional credits to bring the device payment down to about $15 per month for 48 months.
The Simplicity Plan is advertised at $30 per month after a $10 monthly Auto Pay and paper-free billing discount and a $15 monthly discount for switching to Verizon. Combined with the device payment, you'll pay about $45 per month, plus taxes and fees.
Google Pixel 11 Pro + Verizon Simplicity Plan: About $45/month
Get the Google Pixel 11 Pro (256GB) + one line on Verizon's Simplicity Plan for about $45/month for 48 months. No trade-in required.
There are a few strings attached. You'll need to be a new Verizon customer, activate a new smartphone line on the Simplicity Plan and switch your number from another carrier to qualify for the $15 monthly discount. You'll also need to enroll in Auto Pay and paper-free billing to receive the additional $10 monthly savings.
Getting the $15 device payment means spreading the cost of the Pixel 11 Pro over 48 months, so consider whether you're comfortable paying for a phone for four years.
The Simplicity Plan includes unlimited 5G Ultra Wideband data, 10GB of high-speed mobile hotspot data, satellite texting and talk, text and data in Mexico and Canada. If you're already thinking about switching carriers and upgrading to the Pixel 11 Pro, getting the phone without a trade-in could make Verizon's preorder offer worth a closer look.
When can you get the Google Pixel 11?
Preorders for Google's new Pixel 11 lineup began August 12, with the phones expected to be available beginning August 20. Verizon is offering all four models: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
The Pixel 11 is the standard model and the starting point for shoppers who want Google's newest phone without paying for the Pro upgrades. The Pixel 11 Pro adds more premium features in a relatively compact package, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL offers a larger screen.
At the top of the lineup is the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, Google's foldable option for shoppers willing to pay more for a phone that can double as a larger-screen device.
For this particular Verizon deal, however, the Pixel 11 Pro is the one to watch. It's the model included in the roughly $45-per-month Simplicity offer with no trade-in required.
There's another Verizon Pixel preorder perk
Verizon is also offering customers who buy an eligible Google phone a Pixel Watch 5 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE 5G "on us." That means Verizon covers the cost of the devices through promotional credits, but you'll still need to pay for qualifying service plans for the watch and tablet.
Before adding them to your order, consider whether you'll use the extra devices enough to justify those ongoing monthly costs.
Is Verizon's Pixel 11 Pro preorder deal worth it?
The Pixel 11 Pro brings some notable updates, including Google's new Tensor G6 chip, which promises faster performance and supports more on-device AI features. Google has also refined the design with a slimmer camera bar and a brighter display.
Whether those improvements are enough to justify upgrading will depend on the phone you already have. But Verizon's deal could make the decision easier if you're switching carriers with an older device. The lack of a trade-in requirement means you don't need a newer, high-value phone to qualify for the promotional price.
Still, don't judge the offer on the roughly $45 monthly price alone. Compare the total cost of the phone and service over the required period with buying the Pixel 11 Pro outright or taking advantage of another preorder offer. Read the terms carefully before switching carriers solely to get a deal on a new phone.
