John Bute, CPA

John Bute, CPA, is a Senior Managing Director of Advanced Wealth Planning at Lido Advisors, bringing more than 30 years of financial services experience to helping clients navigate complex wealth, tax and investment decisions. Since joining Lido in 2019, he has focused on delivering customized wealth planning and portfolio management solutions, with particular expertise in tax minimization strategies and long-term client support.

John is also a member of Lido Advisors' Investment Committee, where he contributes to the development of investment and risk management strategies for client portfolios.

He began his career in 1986 as a Financial Analyst in New York City before becoming a Certified Public Accountant and managing partner of a public accounting practice in Liberty, New York, and later returning to the investment sector with Merrill Lynch in 2008.

John holds a B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the State University of New York at New Paltz, is based in Boca Raton, Florida, and has served on the board of directors for the Weston FC youth soccer program in Weston, Florida.
