Initially I enrolled in college as a music major, however I kept gravitating to business classes. Somehow, they made sense to me (and honestly, I wasn't that good at music). I ended up graduating with a business and accounting degree and being a partner in a CPA firm. When my dad passed away suddenly, I began looking at things differently. I found myself talking with people about their plans. How long were they going to work? How much money did they think they would need? That eventually took me to starting a new firm that focused on financial planning, where my CPA background proved to be extremely valuable. I love having conversations with people about their financial plans. Of course, having a financial plan is not the end itself, it is the means to and end, but having the plan can help people to relax and enjoy the things that are important.
