James Ferraro is a vice president and trust counsel in the Shreveport, La., office of Argent Trust Company. Ferraro joined Argent in 2016 and brought with him 12 years of experience as a trust officer, manager of trust real estate and trust counsel for UMB Bank in Kansas City. Prior to attending the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Law, his previous career was as a social studies and history teacher in Kansas City, Mo.
He has been a member of the Missouri Bar Association since 2003, and has been active in the legal and estate planning community in Kansas City as past president of the family and the law section of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, a member of the Kansas City Estate Planning Council and the National Trust Real Estate Association. He has continued his professional affiliations after moving to Louisiana as a member of the Tax and Estate Planning Council of Shreveport.
