Camp Jam gives you a chance to play with some of rock's greatest musicians during an intensive three-day program. It runs March 31 to April 2 this year and costs $1,995.
National Guitar Workshop offers classes not just in guitar but also in bass, drums, voice, keyboard and songwriting. The week-long programs are offered in seven locations June through August. The major/minors program costs $900 a week, and the seminars and summits program costs $950. You'll also have to pay a variety of fees, including a $75 registration fee.

Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp lets you spend five days and nights jamming with rock 'n' roll legends. The line-up of stars for the February 16-20 session in Hollywood, Calif., includes Roger Daltry of The Who, Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers and Neil Schon of Journey. The whopping $8,499 price tag includes ten hours of daily instruction, meals, a Battle of the Bands at The House of Blues on the Sunset Strip and, of course, your chance to live out your fantasy of playing alongside your idols.
Steve Kaufman's Acoustic Kamps. Located at Maryville College in eastern Tennessee, this acoustic camp offers two week-long programs in June for musicians of all levels. Instruments taught are bass, guitar, banjo, fiddle, dobro and mandolin. Each kamp, as they call it, costs $725 and includes meals and dorm-style housing.
The Swannanoa Gathering offers more than 150 classes in a series of week-long folk arts workshops held July and August at Warren Wilson College, near Asheville, N.C. Classes are limited to 15 people and range in skill level from beginner to advanced. Seven workshops will be offered in 2006, including ones for guitar, fiddle and dulcimer. Tuition for 2006 workshops is $405, plus an optional $305 for housing and meals.
