Are Social Security Offices Open on Veterans Day and Other Federal Holidays?
Find out if your local Social Security field office is likely to be closed due to Veterans Day or another federal holiday before you make the trip.
Need to apply for Social Security benefits? How about getting a Social Security replacement card? A quick trip to your local Social Security field office is one way to accomplish these tasks in person -- as long as the office is open.
Office hours are limited, and if there's a holiday coming up it's especially important to confirm that your local field office won't be closed. Social Security field offices usually aren't open on federal holidays.
