2009 Holiday Tipping Guide

Of all the holiday traditions, none is more confusing than tipping. Who gets a tip? And for how much? Add a languishing economy to the mix and the question of tipping becomes even more complicated. This year, according to a Gallup poll, the average consumer is planning to spend only $638 on holiday gifts, only $22 more than last year's all time low. But just because times are tough doesn't mean you have to cut out tipping altogether. The graphic below illustrates how, with some simple planning and creative thinking, you can still show the people who make your life easier that you care.
