Wine: $1.00 per gallon
Liquor: $2.11 per gallon
West Virginia directly controls the distribution and sale of alcohol. Liquor tax is an estimate by the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States and published by the Tax Foundation.

Travel Taxes

Hotel: While there is no statewide lodging tax, some counties and municipalities can add up to 6%. Sales tax is due.

Rental cars: State tax of $1 per day in addition to sales tax.
