T. Rowe Price Emerging Markets Stock (symbol PRMSX) continues to shine. Over the past year, it has outpaced the MSCI Emerging Markets index by four percentage points.

Managed by Chris Alderson, with help from analysts and portfolio managers around the world, the fund has profited from some sound country allocations. At the end of the first quarter, three of its ten biggest holdings were in Brazil, a market that has soared 65% over the past year. In the first quarter, Alderson raised the fund's weighting in the Middle East, where the oil windfall is stimulating economic growth. He also boosted its position in Russia; it, too, is riding the wave of high natural-resource prices.
