The best way to boost your score is to pay your bills on time. Keep old accounts open to give yourself a longer credit history. Limit your balances to 25% of your available credit. Fix any errors in your credit report, which you can get free at www.annualcreditreport.com (see There's a Mistake in My Credit Report). Use your cards regularly and pay the balances in full each month.
