The last two digits of your Social Security number will determine when you’ll get your tax rebate check -- $600 for most taxpayers, $1,200 for couples who file joint returns, plus an extra $300 for every child under age 17 claimed as a dependent on 2007 returns.

The IRS announced yesterday that it hopes to pay the first 34 million rebates in the three weeks beginning May 2, wrapping up stimulus payments owed to most tax filers by early July. Taxpayers who haven’t filed their '07 returns in time to be queued up for the initial payout schedule will get their money later in the summer and into the fall.

Taxpayers who opt to have their 2007 tax refunds electronically deposited in their bank accounts will move to the front of the rebate line. The first payments will be made electronically May 2 to the accounts of refund taxpayers whose Social Security numbers end in 00 to 20.

The next batch, paid May 9, will go to those with Social Security numbers ending in 21 to 75. Then, on May 16, the final electronic payments will be made and, at the same time, the first paper checks will be issued . . . to taxpayers whose Social Security numbers end in 00 to 09. The rest of the checks will be issued according to the schedule outlined in the box below.

If you file a joint return, the timing of your economic stimulus check will be based on the Social Security number of the first spouse listed on the return.

Procrastinators may have to wait

Although you must file a 2007 tax return to get a rebate check (even if you otherwise don’t need to file), filing by the April 15 deadline does not guarantee that you’ll be get your check on the IRS-announced schedule. The agency said its timetable is for taxpayers whose 2007 returns are "filed and processed" by April 15. Since it takes a few days to process electronic returns and a week or more to handle paper forms -- especially those filed en masse as the deadline approaches -- waiting until the last minute to file is likely to delay your chance to put the rebate to work to stimulate the economy.

For the best odds of getting your money as soon as possible, file electronically at least a week before the April 15 deadline and have any refund direct deposited into your bank account. If you file on paper after April 1 and have a relatively low Social Security number, there’s a good chance your return will still be in the processing phase when the payouts begin. Rebates not paid as part of the initial rollout will be made on a weekly basis as the year progresses and 2007 returns are processed.

The IRS said Monday that no rebates will be issued for returns filed after October 15.

IRS timetable for rebate payments

Here’s the government’s plan for making the economic stimulus payments for taxpayers whose 2007 returns are filed and processed by April 15:

DIRECT DEPOSIT PAYMENTS
If the last two digits of your Social Security number are: Your rebate should be sent to your bank account by:
00 - 20 May 2
21 - 75 May 9
76 - 99 May 16
PAPER CHECK
If the last two digits of your Social Security number are: Your check should be in the mail by:
00 - 09 May 16
10 - 18 May 23
19 - 25 May 30
26 - 38 June 6
39 - 51 June 13
52 - 63 June 20
64 - 75 June 27
76 - 87 July 4
88 - 99 July 11

Calculate your tax rebate

IRS announced on March 17 that it has developed a calculator to help taxpayers estimate the size of their rebate. As noted above, most taxpayers who file as single, married filing separately or head of household will get $600, those who file a joint return will get $1,200, plus there’s a $300 bonus for each child under age 17 claimed as a dependent on your 2007 return. Some taxpayers will get less, however. The IRS calculator will estimate your rebate based on your 2007 return.

We posted our rebate calculator more than a month ago to let taxpayers estimate their personal stimulus package from Uncle Sam. We think you’ll find ours more user-friendly. Check it out.

Very, Very, Very easy to use!!

Posted by: Trisha at 04/10/2008 08:18:43 PM

When are the second notices sent out that tell how much you will receive?

Posted by: Teresa at 04/15/2008 09:19:43 AM

I don't understand why my 20yr old daughter(full time student w/ 2 part time jobs)is not entitled to a rebate b/c I claim her as a dependent. But, I will receive a rebate for my unemployed 16 year old. Not that I am complaining but it seems unfair that the older child is doing her part in this world and getting nothing.

Posted by: Patricia at 04/15/2008 09:21:33 AM

You state that couples filing a joint return will get $1200. However, everytime I use the calculator to figure ours, it says that we will only get $600. My husband draws Social Security plus I work. What is going on?

Posted by: ck at 04/15/2008 09:26:24 AM

What about people who had their checks rapid refunded. How soon will they recieve their rebate check??

Posted by: SJD at 04/15/2008 09:35:21 AM

Everything states you will receive a $300 bonus for each child under age 17 claimed as a dependent on your 2007 return. What if your child is 17 and was claimed as a dependent on your 2007 return. Who receives the $300???

Posted by: deb at 04/15/2008 10:10:57 AM

I f my daughter is 17, can I still get a tax rebate for her?

Posted by: Scot at 04/15/2008 12:21:59 PM

Too bad my kids are gonna have to pay this back!

Posted by: lweze at 04/16/2008 12:52:09 PM

My 19 year old dependent costs me more now than ever, as a full time student living at home. She works, but gas $ eats up a lot of her small wages. I used to think I was in the middle-class, but I think more and more I'm part of the "struggling class".

Posted by: Laurie at 04/18/2008 02:06:46 PM

Appears that 17 year olds who work are in no man's land. My 17yo son works part-time and earned just over $3000, but doesn't qualify for a rebate because we (parents) claim his as a dependent. However, we don't get an additional $300 for this child because he isn't UNDER 17. Something is wrong with this picture.

Posted by: Tina at 04/20/2008 06:50:14 PM

I think if they make the $3000.00 they should get the rebate as well.

Posted by: Catrice at 04/21/2008 08:51:07 PM

What about the single working mothers who have kids at home that are 17 and up with no income? I have a 17 year old still in school and a 22 year old who is disabled so i claim them as dependents but yet I'M NOT GOING TO GET A REFUND FOR THEM? THATS NOT RIGHT AT ALL

Posted by: Lori at 04/23/2008 09:24:06 AM

Your timetable says nothing about those of us who had to pay additional taxes for 2007. You're assuming we're all getting refunds - I wish. My son turning 17 kind of messed that up.

Posted by: stephanie at 04/24/2008 11:01:36 AM

...be greatful for the extra pocket change...

Posted by: mom at 04/24/2008 01:42:26 PM

Both my girls are in school. One is a Senior in high school and the other in college. I claim them on my taxes. They both made over 6000.00 and files taxes. They don't get a rebate? I don't get anything extra for them either? There are people who don't want to work but have worked very little and they get a rebate? This is messed up. Why should my girls who worked hard not get anything?

Posted by: Tim at 04/25/2008 03:35:21 AM

I don't understand why people are complaining about this at all. Does no one else see that this is free money that we are pretty much getting for nothing. Personally I think it's great!

Posted by: Joshua at 04/25/2008 04:22:07 PM

I don't see how you guys say this is free money, in all actuality it is your money you paid in taxes, they are just giving a little back in order to help boost the economy. There is no such thing as free money.

Posted by: john at 04/25/2008 05:07:17 PM

how is it free money? We are basically giving ourselves a money loan to spend now, plus your income taxes is paying for this...

Posted by: Jennifer at 04/25/2008 06:44:24 PM

I am a single parent and have a 14 yr. old child that I claim as a dependent. By using the tax rebate calculator it states that I will receive a rebate of $600. I thought there was an extra $300 per child under the age of 17. Can anyone explain this to me???

Posted by: fred at 04/25/2008 07:07:56 PM

If the gov. hadn't decided to send these checks of 600 ea.,you would have 600 less in your acct.I will take it, its money I wouldn't have seen otherwise, the gov. would send it to some other country for crude.

Posted by: Bill at 04/25/2008 07:40:08 PM

Tim: I don't understand your post. It is not free money it is however money that was witheld from our paycheck, money that the government demanded we pay for no valid reason. The rebate shouldn't be staged by social security number but should be paid in a lump payment why should any American be given a preferential pay date because of a number?...

Posted by: Lauren at 04/26/2008 10:37:53 PM

Am I entitled to a rebate check even though I am a full-time student? I file as an independent? Is that the difference??

Posted by: Travis at 04/27/2008 01:13:45 AM

Free money ha. The Gov. is deficit spending and sending out all this money that it probably doesnt really have. As far as stimulating the economy, whose economy, ours or China's? as people will go out to Walmart or wherever and buy products made overseas...

Posted by: Robert P. at 04/27/2008 11:45:17 PM

Didn't we try this Rebate/Advancement back in 2001? As I remember, I ended up paying all of it back when I filed my 2001 return. Is it truly a rebate or a advancement on my 2008 return? I'm putting mine into a CD savings until I get an answer or until after filling my 2008 return.

Posted by: Dixie at 04/28/2008 02:11:58 AM

...It's money you wouldn't ordinarily be getting, REGARDLESS of the amount...

Posted by: TERESA at 04/29/2008 10:47:01 AM

I THINK THAT EVERYONE SHOULD VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT THIS YEAR AND HAVE OUR TROOPS COME HOME INSTEAD OF LETTING ALL OF THIS MONEY OUT...THEN GIVE US OUR MONEY.

Posted by: christina at 04/30/2008 02:35:57 PM

i agree with Teresa. we need to bring home our troops. this has gone on way too long. and in regards to the rebate...its about time they give us some money back...

Posted by: jason at 04/30/2008 05:25:15 PM

i dont think you should look at the elections as who is democrat or republican. you should look at it as who is the person that will benifit this country at this time...

Posted by: Dave at 05/01/2008 10:26:17 AM

Teresa...What makes you so sure Barack Obama will fix this?

Posted by: marie at 05/02/2008 04:45:58 PM

I meet all the qualifications including having my rebate directly deposit eff 05-02,(my last 2 digits are 10) but did not receive it, does anyone know why or how I can find out when that will come in??

Posted by: Megan at 05/03/2008 08:30:34 PM

If we bring our troops home, we are going to get attacked at home...Everyone was all for it when we got attacked on 9-11. And I guess they thought that we were just going to go over there and come back the next day. That's not how war works...Until we start praying and living what God teaches us then we will never have peace in our world...

Posted by: Tara at 05/05/2008 01:58:46 PM

Marie, I too am waiting for the refund check. I qualified for the supposed deposit on May 2nd but I never received anything. I've looked all over for information about a possible delay in the deposits but was unable to find anything. :(

Posted by: Alyssa Branch at 05/05/2008 08:02:12 PM

This "stimulus package" is so bogus..Since WHEN does the US Government just GIVE you money? They don't. They want you to spend this money (that you would normally spend on your house insurance) on unimportant things, like new tvs... How responsible is that? What really is our government teaching us? I will admit, the money WILL help us as my husband is in the military and has to drive 180 miles a day... but there's no WAY that we're spending that money. We're paying BILLS!

Posted by: Jason at 05/06/2008 01:36:49 AM

...From the depression to a recession, this has been an opportunity to STIMULATE the economy. A boost, if you will....Paying your bills with this money frees up any future earnings that need to go towards that bill. That money will then be spent on all sorts of things, including gas that you spoke of...

Posted by: Michelle at 05/06/2008 11:26:49 AM

That is true the rebate only goes to the cost of living...The food price keeps going up due to the price of gas. Lets bring the gas down...the gov. is only hurting their own people....

if the fees are taken from your refund, you will get a paper check instead of the direct deposit.

Okay, so according to the schedule ours should be transmitted by next Friday (May 16) but we PAID taxes this year. I wrote our bank account info on the 1040 right before mailing it in so hopefully that counts (?) I tried the IRS' "where my stimulus payment" application and it says there's no info!?! One option is that the system isn't updated until a week before the payment is to go out - wouldn't that be this week??? Only other thing I can think of is that we mailed our tax return April 15th so it wasn't processed until about the 22nd (at least that's the $$ we owed the IRS went through - they'd cashed our check by then...). So maybe we'll be a week behind? Sure hope they aren't mailing a check though b/c that's MONTHS away still and could really use that money now!!!

I recieved my rebate this morning... If you owed more than 3,000 in taxes then you get 600 per person and 300 per child. If you had to pay less than 3,000 you get 300 per person.

Posted by: Monique P. at 05/09/2008 07:30:52 AM

I got only $200. deposited to my account today. I am head of household, why did I not get $600???

Posted by: Confused??? at 05/09/2008 08:50:49 AM

Posted by: isaac ruiz at 05/09/2008 09:19:54 AM

if you filed with h&r block and you got your tax return electronically with their emrald card does that mean the government will automaticly put your money on your card or will you get a paper check?

Posted by: kimberley at 05/09/2008 10:47:00 AM

If you are in a repayment plan for back taxes, will they simply apply the rebate to the amount you still owed like they do your refund or will you still get the rebate????

Posted by: LU at 05/09/2008 02:55:35 PM

I filed back in February...through direct deposit and I did not receive my rebate check in my account today. Is there a delay on the deadline or am I supposed to receive my rebate by check?

Posted by: Mica at 05/09/2008 04:54:09 PM

I see many people in the same situation that I am, but I see no explanation for the delay in payments that were to be put into bank accounts on the 9th of May. Anyone to call? Anyone out there with information? Ideas?

Posted by: leah at 05/14/2008 12:07:20 PM

I called 1-866-234-2942 for info, it's the IRS number for stimulus questions. I had direct deposit and my numbers fell in the May 9th deadline. When I called, they said it was to be deposited May 16th.

Posted by: dani at 05/14/2008 02:28:31 PM

I was supposed to get mine payment no later than May 9 and now it's May 14 STILL nothing. This is very frustrating if I am not getting one then why not send out letter instead of making people wait...!!!!

Posted by: Gia at 05/14/2008 02:31:31 PM

My husband's ends in 81 and mine in 18. Which would they go by? The first name on the return? If so, I'd have filed with my name first.

I had my refund by direct deposit in early February and I should have had my check deposited on may 9th per their schedule? Still waiting UUURRRGGG!!

Posted by: Dan at 05/14/2008 04:56:53 PM

I didnt have direct deposit because I owed money. I did use direct withdrawal. The IRS withdrew the tax owed from my banking acct. Do I get a rebate? When?

Posted by: Nell at 05/14/2008 05:55:06 PM

I just read a supplemental piece of imformation from the IRS last week and it said for those of us who expected it on May 2/08.if we had had our fee taken out for Turbo Tax........right out of our refund, That we would be receiving a paper check, which would be mailed out on May 16th.......:-(

Posted by: Jo at 05/14/2008 06:11:28 PM

My last 2#'s are 46 and was expecting something by the 9th, and low and behold, nothing. I filed byac in Jan., with direct deposit

Posted by: Kirin at 05/14/2008 06:42:42 PM

I called the large chain company that filed my taxes and they told me because I opted to have my paymnet for my taxes deducted from my return even though it was direct deposited I will recive a check by June 6 not the may 9th I was told before..I dont think thats fair!!!!!

Posted by: Allison at 05/14/2008 06:51:49 PM

The rebate calculator told me I would receive $600 and everything I have read says that people get $600, but when I received my stimulus it was for $373. How is this possible? I didn't owe the government anything. Is this a mistake?

Posted by: chopper at 05/14/2008 07:04:46 PM

...I will not receive a check until almost the very end of the distribution...This is total Washington crap.

Posted by: Glorianna at 05/14/2008 07:10:34 PM

Should have had mine by May 9th but not yet either. My tax refund was filed by 2nd week in February and also direct deposited. I thought i was the only one that didnt get it. The rest of my family and hubbys family got it but not us!

Posted by: Meg at 05/14/2008 07:37:39 PM

MY husband and I are suppose to get our tax rebate by May 9th. Check my account every day but nothing is there. We did our taxes back in Feb. My daughter did hers April 12th and got her rebate already!

Thank you for the valuable information. I am outraged to find out that I will not get any additional money for my 17 year old. She is still in HS and totally dependent upon me. She is not legally an adult yet she is not a dependent for this...

Posted by: David at 05/14/2008 09:23:38 PM

I can confirm that if you had your processing fees taken from your rebate check rather than pay seperately on direct deposit you will not get your refund according to the schedule. You will instead follow the rebate schedule for paper check!!!!!!

Posted by: dutch girl at 05/14/2008 10:42:26 PM

Anthony, if you collect more than $3000 in social security, and you file a special tax return this year, you should get a rebate of $300.00

Posted by: Karen at 05/14/2008 11:06:28 PM

...If you filed using Turbo Tax and had the filing charge taken from you're refund you will get a paper check even if your tax refund was directly deposited. This is clearly stated but it appears that the majority of people posting are doing so because they have not received their money according to the direct deposit date indicated...YOU WILL RECEIVE A PAPER CHECK!!!!!

Posted by: Sherri at 05/14/2008 11:37:48 PM

...God Bless all you who are getting something. Spend it for your needs.

...I had a triple bypass early last year and have not been able to work since. I did not make enough money to qualify for the tax rebate. I get 0 dollars. It seems the people that need it most won't get it. Here again the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I don't think this is right!!!!

Even though you do not file taxes, the IRS still has a form for you to complete in order to receive your rebate. My mother received one, and she hasn't filed taxes in years.

The negativity is unwarranted. It is something more than you had the day before you received it. Families with children can use the money I am sure and we should be thankful for every penny we get back from the government...

My wife and I filed jointly as a married couple. But we only received a $600 rebate check (not $1200). Did this happen to anyone else? Where is the other half of my rebate??

Posted by: Robert Wagner at 05/26/2008 03:29:55 PM

My wife and I only received $600 I would like to no where the other $600 went.

Posted by: heaven at 05/28/2008 11:39:42 AM

The government decided to give this money to help boost the economy...but how is that helping if they are allowing a agency or someone you owe to take the money...(for) clearing up a debt...you're giving the money and taking it right back.

Posted by: Beth at 05/30/2008 02:38:48 AM

Gary i agree with you. My husband and I filed jointly and (we thought) we would be getting $2,100 back but we only got $1,500. I am grateful for what I got but I would still like to know (about) the other 600...It's got me puzzled

Posted by: Firmbeliever1 at 05/31/2008 07:46:15 PM

People! Did you not read the whole article?? It says that if you filed close to the April 15th deadline then your rebate will be late by the IRS's schedule. I have not gotten my rebate either. I filed electronically on April 14th with direct deposit option. I will get the rebate, when I get the rebate! Chill out! If you're that desperate for this $600, 1200, etc, you are in more trouble than you realize....

Posted by: cthom at 06/05/2008 03:14:19 PM

I liked the commentor that said.."chill out"..I filed on the 15th because I owed, so I know my money is coming, but when..only "Sam" knows. I can wait.

Our scheduled repate time was May the 9th. Today is June 5th and we havent received it yet.

my son 19 is claimed on my income tax because he is a full time student.he has a part time job so makes enough to get a rebate. But because he is over 17 I don't get the 300 for him, and because he is claimed on my taxes he can't get it on his own income.

Posted by: PJ at 06/05/2008 04:32:20 PM

Well in reply to CHILL OUT...Americans are getting laid off left and right, and with rising gas prices and mouths to feed, unless your are well off.....its tough. I come from a well off family and I am still strugling, to keep food on the table and gas to travel to work and play. I dont think we should judge those who are desperately looking for THEIR cash. I am a retail Manager , i work next door to a COURT HOUSE< JAIL and ATTORNEYS offices and every other customer is now paying with CHANGE>>>QUARTERS

This is to Firmbeliver1 I filed my taxes in Feb. and had my refund direct deposited. According to their schedule I was supposed to get mine May 9th. I still have not recieved anything. I could really use that money right now for bills. So some of us can't chill out.

The post by Paula Kelly, about a 19 college age son..well we are in the same boat.....they get nothing, and because we used the hope credit, they counted that against us, that we had less then $1200 payout in federal taxes(which is the 1st year that has ever happened) so they reduced our married total from $1200 down to only $600...sure sounds fair.LOL

Last year we purchased a house, so drew from our retirement enough to make the 20% payment. Since this was 403b savings, it had to be listed as income which "pushed" our adjusted gross over the $150,000 limit. They prorated our payment (married filing jointly)& we received $171. I haven't heard of a way to appeal - is there one?

I would have thought that any one who gets an SS Check by electronic deposit would have gotten their stimulous rebate check the same way.

Posted by: mary ann at 06/10/2008 03:45:19 PM

I got an email from turbotax saying that even though my return was direct deposit, i will be getting a paper check because i chose to have my fees taken out of my return to file my taxes. . .

Posted by: Leslie at 06/10/2008 03:58:33 PM

The people that need the rebate the most, cant even get it!!! I am a single mother of 3, and have been in school finishing my Nursing Degree. My income from 2007 was $2999.......JUST $1 short of the cutoff!! No rebate for me and my children. Has anyone else had this happen...Who should I contact, or will it not make a difference? So bummed out,I REALLY needed the money.

I have 2 college age students who are my dependents as well as my 82 year old mother, who can't afford to support herself with Social Security. However, I have been advised by IRS that I will only get $1,200 for me and hubby; kids can't get it on their own because they are my dependents and my mother doesn't qualify because she is older than "17". ...This isn't fair to my kids or me and husband who help them get thru college.

Posted by: lg at 06/10/2008 05:56:55 PM

...We too were under the impression we were getting for 2 dependents 18 and 21 then they turn around and say no. Not fair at all. I pay both colleges and they are claimed as dependents. Not fair we were taken for a ride by our great government.

Posted by: b at 06/10/2008 06:16:21 PM

I am a 20 year old college student with a small part time job. The only reason I was advised to file a return was because of the rebate. I was told I would receive a check, now I come to find out that was not true and I will not receive money because I'm over 17.

Posted by: truthandjaney at 06/10/2008 06:30:10 PM

It's all pie in the sky. Rebate checks of our own money!...

Posted by: Tonya Kenyon at 06/10/2008 06:51:13 PM

I finally received my check but it was only for $600.00. I have myself and one child under 17. I do not think it is fair that I only got $300.00 for myself. I worked and spend money just like those who earn $30,000. Everyone who made over $3,000 should get the full $600.00. Just because I didn't make alot doesn't mean that I don't need the money. I feel I need it more. Tax checks helped but was not completely fair!!!!

Posted by: jennifer at 06/10/2008 07:05:27 PM

I was supposed to recieve mine some time around middle may. I am 20 years old, I claimed my self as independent at all my jobs, but my parents claim me as a dependent. THanks to my parents, I guess I wont be getting a stimulus check and they wont be collecting any money either because I am older than "17 years old" ... Not fair

Posted by: Thomas at 06/10/2008 07:20:14 PM

Stimulus payments should have been made according to when your 2007 taxes were FILED. File early - Stimulus early File late - You wait...They could have used this opportunity to stop procrastination when it comes to filing/paying taxes. Now some procrastinators will get their stimulus payment the same time as their tax return. I guess that's America for you...

Posted by: Karen at 06/14/2008 07:10:37 AM

There is alot of things wrong with the way this was decided for payment. People on disability got nothing, people with low incomes got little. Dependants of others were given no benefit from this "helpful handout". It was not thought through very well, and as usual the ones with money to spend just got more. Imagine those that could use a few extra groceries in the pantry or a new pair of shoes. Or maybe just medication, it would have been spent by the poor, and every penny.

Posted by: ez at 06/14/2008 09:31:22 AM

Stop whining. As a single person I pay exorbitant federal taxes because I don't have all those deductions for dependents, medical, etc. Since I exceeded the arbitrary adjusted gross income cap, I got NO rebate at all -- and I'm sure I paid way more taxes than you.

Posted by: Helen at 06/14/2008 09:48:08 AM

I see that some folks still think this is "free money....It is a LOAN on next years taxe rebate!!! Quit thinking it is extra. You pay for it one way or another!...However, I have not received my ck yet and I was a direct deposit. I sure could use my "loan" right now to buy gas for a trip. I guess if you had your fees deducted from your check, you are now a paper filer!

Posted by: Gary at 06/14/2008 11:06:59 AM

To those who complain about the unfairness of the tax rebate, it is not based on whether you worked or not. It is based on paying taxes...And for those with dependent children 17 and over who are complaining, you already received a tax benefit by claiming the dependent child on your 2007 tax return and many will likely do the same for 2008. Isn't really unfair that you ask for a rebate for the dependent child after already getting a tax benefit for that child?...One final thought--this is not an entitlement program so if you do not get your rebate on a projected scheduled date I am not sure what you are complaining about. Again, the dates are projected dates not firm dates.

...In general terms, what everyone should strive to do with this money is: 1) PAY DOWN DEBT 2) Save some remainder 3) Only purchase necessities you would have bought otherwise-use a small amount to cover the increased costs of absolute necessities(in my case, part will be held back to pay for new school supplies/clothes for my 14 year old). I realize this may not be possible for every single taxpayer, but it is achieveable for a large majority. Just don't buy unnecessary doo-dads...

Posted by: Kathy at 06/14/2008 11:47:16 AM

Just to let you know anyone who had to pay at the time of their filing will be the last to get the refund. I find it amazing that this info is nowhere to be found. I had to call the IRS when my check did not arrive and was then given this info

Posted by: Marge at 06/14/2008 12:51:27 PM

With regard to Thomas' comment, file late, get it late, we are senior citizens who are NOT wealthy. Since I owed money, I filed on April 12. According to the schedule, I should have received our check by May 19 (direct deposit) and did not and still have not received it? So, It really is coming late because of late filing (I hope). The only reason we pay taxes is because of our small pension and social security...

If you filed your taxes on the internet and agreed to pay for that service from your tax rebates, those persons will receive their stimulus check(s) through the Postal mail even if you had your rebate check sent directly to your bank.
