Priority Healthcare: Special-Delivery Drugs

Priority Healthcare Corp. (PHCC) is a pharmaceutical distributor that concentrates on special handling and delivery. The company provides treatment programs and biopharmaceuticals directly to patients with chronic and hard-to-manage diseases, such as diabetes and hemophilia. PHCC also delivers drugs overnight in climate-controlled containers to clinics and treatment facilities, including oncology and dialysis centers.

Raymond James analyst John Ransom expects rapid growth in PHCC's high-margin Hepatitis C and infertility franchises. He also included the company on Raymond James' "Best Picks" list. The annual list of analysts' picks has made money every calendar year since 1996 -- including the last three years -- and has beaten the S&P 500 by an annual average of 46 percentage points.

Priority Healthcare is debt-free and delivers a healthy 15% return on equity. Analysts expect 25% earnings growth, on average, over the next three to five years. The stock trades at 18 times the 2003 consensus earnings estimate of $1.29 per share.
