In addition to Memorial Day sales, you'll find plenty of freebies and special discounts this holiday weekend. Here's what several parks, museums, hotels and retailers have to offer.

Free park and museum admission

Anheuser-Busch Parks offers free admission to active-duty personnel and up to three dependents.

Blue Star Museums will offer free admission to active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day, May 28, through Labor Day, September 3. Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment of the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and more than 1,500 museums across America. All 50 states have participating museums, including children's museums, fine art museums, history and science museums, and nature centers.

Knotts Berry Farm theme park in Buena Park, Calif., will offer free admission to active and retired military personnel and discounted tickets for their family members May 27 and 28.

Hotel discounts

Baymont Inn & Suites (part of the Wyndham Hotel Group) will give guests who book a three-day stay over the Memorial Day weekend a 20% discount.

Days Inn is offering 20% off on three-day stays.

Ramada Worldwide is offering a 20% discount on stays of three nights or more.

Retail discounts

Bass Pro Shops will have free crafts and games for kids May 26 and 27.

The Home Depot will offer a 10% discount to all military personnel and veterans (identification required).

Lowe's honors all veterans with a 10% discount on Memorial Day (ID required).
